Since her bold stage debut at the tender age of six, Cathy has chosen the path of purposeful risk-taking. In her early years, her undying enthusiasm and love of adventure led to countless acts of courage...from showcasing her award-winning advertising talents in her early teens to performing for NFL Super Bowl crowds as an 18-year-old Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader.

Venturing outside her own "comfort zone"-trying new activities and learning new things-came naturally for Cathy...so much so that she devoted 22 years to the "risky business" of education. In her various roles as a teacher, coach and School District Wellness and Student Assistance coordinator, she studied the concept of risk in detail. Eventually, her intense belief in the life-altering power of risk resulted in her publication of Risk It! Empowering Young People to Become Positive Risk-Takers in the Classroom and in Life. Her second book, It Takes Character, is a self-help book for teens.

In 1992, Cathy took one of the most pivotal risks in her life by launching full-time speaking and consulting business specializing in purposeful risk taking.

Since her entrepreneurial debut to this day, she has traveled across the country, empowering thousands to take purposeful risks for improving job performance, enhancing well-being, building productive teams and creating a harmonious work/learning culture.

Cathy's ideas have been widely used by corporations, schools and other organizations that are committed to energizing and inspiring their constituents to take smart risks for the right reasons.
