His journeys are 100% true to the period which is what makes his story so different. His canoe is made of birch bark. His food - peas and salt pork! NO toothbrush, sunscreen, bug spray, tent or sleeping bag! His longest journey to date has been from Montreal to Winnipeg, a distance of 2,500 kilometers which took 100 days. He paddles 12 hours a day at 40 strokes a minute and uses flint and steel to start his fires. He wears the clothes and lives the part! Bob's 6th great-grandfather was a Voyageur and Bob follows in his foot steps discovering Canada, history and himself - and then relating that to business. Travel Expert - Bob held executive and partnership positions with Sunquest Vacations - one of Canada’s premier, and most profitable tour companies, with offices in Canada and the USA. He also owned two major travel agencies. He has managed companies with hundreds of employees and hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. Bob has explored, managed, negotiated, bought and sold in 76 countries on six continents. He has an Honors diploma in travel and is a Certified Travel Manager.
